American Original Publishing publishes recorded demos of original compositions (words and
music) on the internet world wide web.
Songs (mp3 files) may be played and lyrics (html files) viewed directly from the web site thereby
making all compositions immediately available to the public on a global basis.
The intention is to make these songs available to major performing artists and record companies
so that they may be professionally performed and commercially recorded thus furthering their
impact and distribution. Ultimately the goal is to have these compositions heard and enjoyed by
the widest possible audience.
Original compositions are copyrighted and registered with the US Copyright Office. If others
intend to perform, record, or publish compositions for commercial use (e.g., Concerts, CD
Sales, Music Downloads, Sheet Music, etc.), express written consent must be obtained from
American Original Publishing and writer/publisher performance and mechanical rights apply.
Demos of individual songs and/or collections of songs may be downloaded for personal use
(for mp3 players, creating CDs on home computers, playing songs at bluegrass and gospel
jams, etc.) on an honor basis at the current rate of $1.00 U.S. per song.
